On 23rd November 1996 BPDB formed Meghnaghat Power Company (MPC) Ltd. On 16th February 2004 the Meghnaghat Power Company (MPC) Ltd. has been re-named as Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) Ltd. (an Enterprise of BPDB). Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh (EGCB) Ltd. (An Enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board) was incorporated with Registrar of joint stock companies on February 16, 2004 to produce and sale of Electricity. EGCB has a plan to become a leading electricity generation company across the country. Electricity generation-related business services are among the fastest growing and key area of the economy, EGCB intends to capitalize on the opportunity in that area. The company's major share is currently held by BPDB.

Electricity Generation Company of Bangladesh Limited (EGCB Ltd.)-an enterprise of Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) is looking for energetic and promising persons for immediate appointment to the post of Executive Director (Engineering) from Bangladeshi Nationals who are interested to serve the company and ready to accept the challenging job.

Responsibility:
The Executive Director (Engineering) is responsible for efficient operations and maintenance of plant
facilities, prepare operation and maintenance budget, advise and guide Chief Engineer(s) on operation and maintenance activities of the plants. He has to ensure continuous and consistent availability of the plant, spare parts, consumables for plant operation and maintenance; ensure that the provisions of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) are appropriately utilized. He has to develop new projects and ensure smooth implementation of development projects. He will advise Managing Director and the Board on capacity utilization, growth and development and any other duties assigned from time to time.

Educational Oualification:

• B. Sc. Engineering, preferably in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering;
• Knowledge in The Companies Act, Labour Law, Financial Laws & Rules, Procurement & Tax related laws & Rules will be preferred;
• Multidisciplinary qualifications will be considered as an added advantage;
• Should have good computer skills;
• CGPA below 2.50 or third class/division in any level is not eligible to apply.

Experience:

• Candidate must possess at least l8(eighteen) years working experience in large power sector
• organization1'
• Should have experience in power generation;
• The candidate serving below the post of Superintending Engineer or equivalent need not to apply.

AGE limit:
Not exceeding 59 years on the last date of submission of application.

Compensation Package:
Monthly Basic salary in the scale of Tk.85,000/-;
Medical Support for self, spouse and children (cost at actual will be reimbursed but not exceeding two months basic pay in a year). Full-time transport with driver, Group Insurance and other Fringe Benefits as per Company's Service Rules.

Terms and Conditions:

• The appointment will be made for maximum 3(three) years with 6 months probationary period. The
• tenure may be renewed subject to satisfactory performance up to maximum 60 years of age and a set
• targets to be given by the Board of Directors for evaluation of performance;
