Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) is a Government-owned Non-Banking Financial Institution, operating since 2011. It is established by a resolution of the Cabinet of the Government of Bangladesh and owned by the Ministry of Finance. BIFFL is the largest NBFI operating in the country in terms of capital base with BDT 19.40 billion paid up.
BIFFL has a strong mandate to invest in the large infrastructure projects of Bangladesh, including power & energy, ports, connectivity, tourism and economic zones. It also wants to ensure a
greener Bangladesh by investing in sustainable development projects with emphasis on renewable energy, energy efficiency and eco-friendly projects. BIFFL is working relentlessly to supplement government’s vision of achieving middle income status of the country by 2021.
